These healthy, crunchy , delicious , chocolaty and very easy to make cookies are best option for snacks , or to pair with hot cup of Tea/Coffee … It can be ready within 30 minutes in total..
My little one loves cookies . And I must say she is the only inspiration for me to keep on trying new cookies. Last week she demanded few cookies among which the first was Chocochip Cookies.
Last month also she demanded this but due to my work load I could not full fill her demand so this time it was compulsory for me 🙂 😉 I tried to make it healthier by adding Whole Wheat Flour and light brown sugar to this cookies.. I have kept this surprise ready when she back from school. She tasted and simply love it . She just love that crispy and chocolaty texture of the cookies. It’s always amazing to see that beautiful smile on her face … So that makes me more Happy 🙂 🙂

- One can use powdered sugar , jaggery powder or dark brown sugar
- Add Milk little by little, don’t add more at a time.
- Don’t bake more than given time . Else once cool it will be too hard.
- One can also use All Purpose Flour for the same recipe.
- One can make these cookies in pressure cooker also. Checkout my other cookies recipe, details are given there to bake in cooker.
- 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
In a bowl sieve Wheat Flour , Baking Powder and Baking soda..
In another bowl whisk butter and brown sugar. One can also use normal powdered sugar or powdered jaggery. Whisk till light and fluffy.
Add milk and vanilla essence. Mix nicely..
Now add flour to it. Mix with hands. Flour mixture should be crumbly and should be able to hold the shape. . . Of needed add more 1 or 2tsp Milk. Add Chocochips to the dough. Spare 2 tbsp chocochips to arrange on upside of cookies.
With the measuring spoon or just with hand , make small balls from dough . Press a little bit between palms . Arrange 2 or 3 chocochips on surface (It is not compulsory but that looks beautiful ).
Place all the cookies on aluminium foil or parchment paper.
Bake on preheated oven at 180C for 15 to 17 mins .. It may be little soft when hot , it will be harden once cool completely. Allow the cookies to cool completely.
Store in a air tight container and enjoy ….
