These simple, quick and easy to make, melt in mouth Eggless Almond Cookies (Badam Biscuits) are made from powdered Almond , whole wheat flour and butter. These melt in mouth cookies can be prepared using either Maida (All purpose flour) or Whole wheat flour.. It’s a perfect snacks to make in advance for kid’s party or family get together.. One can store this homemade cookies up to 20 days in an air tight container .

Serve these cookies with a glass of milk in morning and your fuzzy kid’s nutritious , healthy breakfast is done.

So easy to make , even one can involve kids to bake this amazing biscuits. My little one helped me in making this cookies (That’s a reason of cookies looks not so equal of size:) πŸ™‚ ) I could see the happiness on face of my 6 yr old daughter. She is a big fan of homemade cookies..

Wheat Almond Cookies

So lets see the detailed recipe Here , I will show the details on how to bake this healthy cookies in pressure cooker , but one can bake in oven too . Bake at 180C (350F ) for around 15-17 minutes. Keep checking the color of cookies after 15 mins as each oven has different settings.


  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 2/3 cup Almond Powder
  • 1/3 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • A Pinch of Salt (Avoid if used Salted Butter )
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1.5 tbsp Milk
  • Few Almonds (halves or sliced or roughly crushed) for garnishing



First lets make Almond Powder , for that just roast the almonds for couple of minutes in a pan . Once cool grind in a mixer with Pulse method.

Sieve whole Wheat Flour in a bowl, add baking powder , salt and powdered Almonds.Β  Mix them with wired Whisk or spatula .


In a another bowl take butter and sugar ..

Whisk them using wired whisk or a hand bitter till light and smooth .



Now add milk and vanilla essence . One can add Cardamom powder too at this stage .

Mix it . Now add flour and powdered almond mixture ..




Knead a dough using hand. Dough might look sticky . Now we will refrigerate this dough for 20-25 mins. One can plastic wrap this dough or simply keep in a utensil and cover it.

Now preheat the cooker. Place a stand inside the cooker and keep on slowest flame . If using oven Preheat that.



Take the dough out of refrigerator . One can see that dough will be very well firm and not sticky at all .Β  Take a small portion of dough between palms, give shape gently press little and keep almond halve on top .. keep all ready cookies in a greased cake tin … Place this cake tin on stand inside the pressure cooker ..



cover the lid of pressure cooker . Remove whistle from it . Allow it to bake for 20-22 minuts on slow flame.

Once the sides of cookies starts turning brown , take it out from cooker. Allow them to rest in cake tin only , for 4 to 5 minutes. Now you can shift cookies on another plate. When cookies are hot , they will be very soft so touching them that time may break them ..



Once cookies cool down completely , store in a air tight container . Enjoy this cookies with Tea/ Coffee. Kids will love munching in evening time ..
