Chilled Kesar Pista Falooda / Saffron Pistachio Falooda is the Ultimate soul satisfying dessert in summer. Flavourful thick milk , vermicelli , soaked Basil Seeds topped with exotic Kesar Pista Ice Cream and Dry fruits , isn’t it mouthwatering????
One can prepare in advance , and just assemble , topped with ice cream and dry fruits at time of serving. Definitely it’s a show stopper. Best option to serve in a party or get together.

INGREDIENTS FOR FALOODA :::
Here , I have used Wheat Vermicelli for Homemade Falooda. You can use the Falooda Sev too. To make at home is also very easy. But , for me this vermicelli version is perfect 😋😋… I have directly added in milk . One van keep it separate and just assemble at time of serving.
Basil / Sabja Seeds adds amazing taste to Falooda and more than that it has much more health benefits too. Basil seeds can be useful for Weight loss , hair loss , skin issues , acidity , diabetes etc etc.
Prefer full fat cream… As the creamy texture tastes good. One can add little custard powder for lovely taste..
Garnishing Falooda is very much needed. One can Garnish with Ice cream , tutti-frutti , glazed cherry , lots of dry fruits , some flavoured syrup etc.
- I have not added Pistachio at time of boiling milk as I love the crunchiness of it. If you wish , you can add. Add 4 tbsp chopped pistachio .
- One can add 1 tsp of Custard Powder in the Milk. If adding , reduce the boiling time else it will be very thick.
- One can make ready in advance. But after assembling , serve immediately..
- One can store in refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

Now , let’s checkout the detailed recipe ….
- 1lt Full Fat Milk
- 3 tbsp Sabja Seeds / Basil seeds
- 2 tbsp Sugar (to add in Sabja Seeds)
- 1/2 cup Sugar ( more or less as per taste)
- 1/2 cup Vermicelli / Falooda Sev
- 1 tsp Saffron Strands
- Kesar Pista Ice Cream
- Chopped nuts (Almonds and Pistachio)
- Tutti futti
First , soak the Sabja seeds . For that , in a bowl take sabja seeds , add sugar to it. Now add sufficient water and mix it. Keep aside for minimum 30 minutes. Later , keep in refrigerator .. If added too much of water in soaking , strain before adding to falooda….
In a vessel , boil Milk .. Soak Daarom strands in 3 tbsp Warm Milk. Keep aside. Once Milk starts boiling, add cooked vermicelli and cook for more 7 to 10 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally.
Add sugar , Soaked Saffron. Mix Nicely and cook for more 2 minutes. Switch off the gas. Once cool completely , keep in refrigerator till chilled. Once milk is chilled , it will be thick. So keep in notice while.boiling milk. Once , it’s thick , just add some chilled milk and bring back the desired consistency.
Always serve chilled Falooda.. Now let’s Assemble for serving..
In a glass or serving bowl , pour chilled vermicelli Milk. Later add soaked sabja seeds. Top it with big scoope of Kesar Pista ice cream.. sprinkle some tutti futti , chopped roasted Pistachio and Almonds ..
