CABBAGE GUJIYA

Making or Serving Sweet Gujiya is very common.. but how about a crispy, bit spicy and tangy Gujiya??? Sounds interesting, isn’t?? 🙂 🙂  This is one of the best inventions of my mother. Me Sure you all gonna love this taste.

Ingredients :

  • 3 cup finely grated Cabbage
  • 2/3 cup roasted and powdered Groundnut
  • 1/2 tsp Amchur
  • 2 tsp Red chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Castor Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Chopped Fresh Coriander
  • 2/3 cup Barik Sev
  • Salt as per taste

For Dough

  • 2 cup Maida
  • 3 tsp Rawa
  • 4 tsp oil
  • Salt


Process :
Take grated Cabbage in a plate. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp salt and mix properly with ur hands. Leave for 2 to 3 mins. Again mix properly and with tight hands sqeeze all water ftom cabbage. On a thick cotton cloth let it dry for 1 hr.

When it dries completely take it in a bowl. Add all masala except salt, sev and corriander. Mix well and keep this mixture in freeze for at least 2 hrs. As we r using dry masala it has to be covered on cabbage. So we will keep it in freeze for marinating.
Till time knead a dough with all ingredients . Dough should be tight. keep it aside.
Now take it out add salt, sev and chopped corriander. Mix well.

Roll small roti and stuff this cabbage masala and give shape of Gujiya using your fingures or with moulds which are easily available in market. Well i made this by fingures. .

Fry on slow to medium flame till it turn light brown.

Serve hot with any preferable chutney , sauce or a hot cup of tea or coffee.
