GARLIC RASAM

Rasam is a very famous and an extremely  delicious south indian dish . Generally Rasam served with Hot steamed Rice. Its very light on stomach. Its a tasty treat in winter days. Very easy to make this tasty , tangy Rasam

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 pc Medium Sized Tomato
  • 2 tsp Toor Dal
  • 2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 4-5 Paper corns
  • 2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 5-6 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves , chopped or sliced or crushed
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Hing

METHOD Boil Tomato, Tamarind Pulp, Green Chilli, Toor Dal in a pressure cooker with some water. Boil for 3 whistles on slow flame.

Blend nicely and strain. Add some water if required. Consistency should be thin.

Add Salt, Turmeric Powder. Dry roast Cumin Seeds. Crush with paper corns and dry chilli.

Add this crushed Masala to Rasam . Bring it to boil. DONT BOIL MUCH.  In a kadai take Ghee. When hot add Mustard Seeds, Garlic, Curry leaves and Hing. Add this Temper to Rasam and close lid. DSCF3447          DSCF3449

Serve hot with Steamed Rice . Soak Meduvada in this tasty Rasam and enjoy hot 🙂 🙂
