Muthia Kadhi is a delicious Marwadi Dish. Here Muthia made from Wheat Flour. And Kadhi is spicy one not Sweet (Like Gujarati Kadhi). Here, in words i can not discribe the awesome taste of this Dish. A combination of tangy, spicy taste, is simply outstanding..



For Muthia

  • 2 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 3 – 4 tsp Oil
  • salt as per taste

For Kadhi

  • 1 1/2 cup Sour Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Besan
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Few Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • Curry Leaves
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tsp Ghee


Add all spices to Wheat Flour , mix well. Knead a tight dough and give cylindrical shape.

Boil a plenty of water in a broad vessel. Add this flour cylinder into boiling water and allow it boil for at least 15-18 mins. Insert a sharp knife into muthia and check it is done or not. If you feel knife didn’t come out very clean. Boil more for 2-3 mins. Drain and allow it to cool completely

Once cool completely, cut into pieces


For temper, take 3-4 tbsp Oil in a heavy bottom kadai, When hot, add Mustard Seeds. Then add Hing and muthia. Adjust salt and Chilli Powder if required. Allow it to roast for 2-3 mins on slow flame.


For Kadhi, Mix curd, besan , salt and some water. Blend nicely. Add Around 2 glass of water. Add turmeric powder. Bring it to boil. For temper, take Ghee in kadai. When hot add Mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds. When all done add Curry leaves and Hing. Lastly add Red chilli powder. Add this temper to Kadhi… Boil for 8-10 mins.


Wheat Flour Muthia and Spicy Kadhi , Serve together when hot..
