Batata Vada is one of the most popular snack in India. One can have this with fried green chili and sauce or also with pav. I am sure none can resist this.. Here i am presenting my way to make this delicious snack.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup Mashed Potato (Boil, peel and mash)
- 1 cup Finely chopped Fresh Corriender
- 1 tsp Ginger Chilli Paste
- 2 Finely chopped Green Chilli
- salt as per taste
For Tempering :
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1/4 tsp Hing
For Batter :
- 2 cup Besan
- 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- salt as per taste
- 1/4 tsp Hing
- 3 tsp Warm Oil
Oil to fry
Process:
In a bowl mix mashed potatoes,Green chilli, Ginger Chilli Paste, salt and chopped Corriender. In a kadai take oil when hot add urad dal when it turned to golden brown add hing and temper this on potatoes mixture. mix well and allow it to rest for 10 mins.
Mean time make ready the batter . for that take all the ingredients mentioned above under batter headline, and make a smooth batter with help of water. Batter consistency should nt be very thin.. Allow it to rest for 15-20 mins. Again mix well and add some water if needed. In a kadai take oil for frying. Allow it to get hot properly.
Just before starting frying, add 2 tsp hot oil from Kadai to Besan batter. Mix very well. It will give nice texture … Make Small balls of potato mixture and wrap with besan mix . Now fry this in hot oil on high flame till golden brown colour.. Serve hot
