INGREDIENTS:

  •  2 cup Rava
  • 1 cup Curd (Preferably bit sour)
  • salt
  • 1 tsp Fruit Salt (Eno)

To Temper

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Pc Dry Chillies
  • 1 Pc Green Chilli Chopped
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Hing

METHOD:

Mix Rava,Curd, salt and add some water to make a thick batter.  Allow it to rest for 15 mins. Add some water if needed. Make sure batter is thick.

Grease a plate in steamer and allow it to get warm . We have to pour Dhokla batter only on warm/hot plate. If you don’t have steamer one can use cooker or even a huge aluminium vessel in which you have to place a stand then plate.

Add fruit salt to batter and pour 2 tsp water on it.. Mix it well . Now pour this batter on plate. Cover the lid. Allow it to cook for 12-15 mins. After this time check with toothpick whether its done or not . If toothpick comes out clean Dhokla is ready, and if not cook for more 3-4 mins.

Take out the plate and allow it to cool completely. Cut the shape you desire.

In a kadai take oil. When hot add Mustard seeds, sesame seeds, red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves and hing. Spread this temper on Dhokla with spoon.
