Rava Dhokla is very famous Snack. This is an easy, quick and instant rava dhokla recipe and does not require fermentation. Result is Perfect Spongy Dhokla . These are Ready in Few Minutes with 2 main Ingredients 🙂 🙂
To make Rava Dhokla is bit tricky as one has to be careful about the batter consistency and cooking time . Here I tried to make it simple with stepwise pics of recipe..
I have served this delicious dhokla with spicy Green Coriander Chutney ….
In this recipe, one can add Ginger chilli paste in batter and Chopped Coriander for Garnishing . Though it taste great without that also.
Hope all will Enjoy..
Let’s checkout the Video Recipe for this yummy and cotton soft Rava Dhokla…
So now, let’s see the detailed recipe…
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cup Rava
- 1 cup Curd (Preferably bit sour)
- salt
- 1 tsp Fruit Salt (Eno)
To Temper
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 Pc Green Chilli Chopped
- Curry Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Hing
.
METHOD:
Mix Rava,Curd, salt and add some water to make a thick batter. Allow it to rest for 15 mins. Add some water if needed. Make sure batter is thick.
Grease a plate in steamer and allow it to get warm . We have to pour Dhokla batter only on warm/hot plate. If you don’t have steamer one can use cooker or even a huge aluminium vessel in which you have to place a stand then plate.
Add fruit salt to batter and pour 2 tsp water on it.. Mix it well . Now pour this batter on plate. Cover the lid. Allow it to cook for 12-15 mins. After this time check with toothpick whether its done or not . If toothpick comes out clean Dhokla is ready, and if not cook for more 3-4 mins.
Take out the plate and allow it to cool completely. Cut the shape you desire.
In a kadai take oil. When hot add Mustard seeds, sesame seeds, red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves and hing. Spread this temper on Dhokla with spoon. Garnish with some chopped coriander..

.
