MASALA PUFFED RICE

Such type of puffed rice taste awesome. Quick solution for bhel carving, just add chutney of choice and done. No need for preparing everything in urgency ..For evening time snacks its the best option.


Ingredients:

  • 500gm Puffed rice
  • 2/3 cup Raw Peanuts
  • ½ cup Roasted Gram Dal
  • Handsful curry leaves
  • ½ tsp Black Salt
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp Red chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Hing
  • ½ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 cup Nylon Barik Sev
  • ½ cup Masala Boondi
  • ½ cup Oil

Method:

In a heavy bottomed kadai Take oil. Add Peanuts then add Roasted Gram Dal. When both done with light brown color (Should nt get burned or with dark colour or not even half cooked)add mustard seeds, curry leaves then hing. Now add rice and mix very nicely. Add Salt, black salt and turmeric Powder at this point. Allow it to roast for 1-2 mins. Keep stiring. When puffed rice becomes crunchy off the gas. Now immediately add all other ingredients. And keep in same kadai till comes to room temperature.
Store in a air tight container.
