A very simple and very tasty variety of Rice.. One can serve this hot with Vegetable Raita or Kadhi or some Gravy Vegetable.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Basmati Rice
- 1/2 cup Fresh Green Peas
- salt as per taste
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pc Star Anise
- 2 pc Clove
- 1 small stick Cinnamon
- 2 pc Cardamom
- 2 Green Chillies Chopped
- Handsful Curry Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Hing
- 2 tsp Ghee
METHOD :
Wash and soak rice for 30 mins, In a Nonstick Pan take 2 tsp Ghee. When hot Add Clove, cardamom, Cinnamon, Star anice, green chillies, curry leaves, cumin seeds. When all done add hing and 1/2 glass water. When water boils add rice with soaked water itself. (Dont throw that soaked water). Add Salt and green peas.
