METHOD :

Mix all lentils, wash nicely. soak with enough water for at lease half an hour. Add some turmeric powder and Cook with sufficient water in cooker for 2 whistles on slow flame. Let the cooker cool completely.

In a kadai take 4-5 tsp Ghee. Once hot add Cumin Seeds and wait till it crackles fully. Now Add Dry Red chilli, hing, tomatoes, curry leaves. Cook for a minute or so. Add Some Red chili powder and then add cooked dal. Add black salt , salt , turmerind Pulp and a glass of water. Boil Dal for 5-6 minutes.

Make sure we don’t need a very thick daal. So adjust the water measurement accordingly.

At time of serving temper again. For this temper take 2-3 tsp Ghee . Add 2/3 tsp Cumin Seeds, hing and 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder.

You can also add Chopped Coriander.

Serve hot.
