We all are aware how much beneficials are figs, dates and dry fruits. Winter has proved as the Best season to make your self healthy and fit. Its been said that the health which you gain in winter, will lasts for whole year..

Benefits of Dates include relief from constipation, intestinal disorders, heart problems, anemia, sexual dysfunctions, diarrhea, abdominal cancer and many other conditions. Dates also help in healthy weight gain. They are rich in several Vitamins, Minerals and fiber. This tasty fruits contain oil, calcium , sulfur , iron, potassium, phosphorous, manganese , copper and magnesium which are all beneficial for good health..
Figs contain a type of antioxidant called phenols, which may lower your risk for heart disease and cancer . Fiber lowers your risk for high cholesterol, heart disease and constipation. The fiber in figs may also help you lose weight since it makes figs more filling, helping you eat fewer calories.
Nuts are good sources of fat, fiber and protein. Most of the fat in nuts is monounsaturated fat, as well as omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fat. However, they do contain some saturated fat.Nuts also contain a number of vitamins and minerals, including magnesium and vitamin E protein. Notes:
- In this recipe one can also use Biscuit powder if figs and dates mixture looks very wet.
- One can use poppy seeds too, to coat the roll instead of dessicated coconut…
- The quantity of nuts , purely depends on your choice.

INGREDIENTS:
- 200 gms Dried Figs
- 200 gms Dates (seedlsz)
- 2/3 cup chopped Almonds
- 2/3 cup chopped Pistachio(unsalted)
- 2/3 cup chopped Walnuts
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 1/4 cup Dessicated Coconut
- 2 tsp Ghee (clarified butter )

METHOD:
Wash figs and soak in lukewarm water for 10-15 mins. To clean impurities from figs this is the best method. With this Figs will be clean as well as soft. Soft figs are easy to chop and grind. Drain access water and Chop them.
Deseed dates and chop them finely.
With the help of Mixer grinder / food processor , grind figs and dates… DO NOT ADD WATER.
In a non stick wok dry roast dessicated coconut for 10-12 seconds. Take out in a plate. In same wok take 1 tsp Ghee. When hot add chooped nuts and roast till fragrant.
Take out in a plate. In same wok , heat 1 tsp Ghee. Roast figs and dates mixture. Roast for 3 to 4 minutes on slow flame. When mixture looks soft enough , add all roasted nuts. Mix well.
Add cardamom powder . Mix very well. Switch off the flame..
Allow it to cool bit , then grease your hands and roll cylendrical shape. Roll these rolls in desiccated coconut. One make small sized Ladoos too .
Keep in refrigerator for 30 to 40 minutes… With a sharp knife, Cut into rolls and Enjoy.

Delicious… my mother in law use to make these often to put in my kids lunch boxes. Haven’t had them in a long time. I think I should make some and take it to Mumbai for her…she’ll be pleasantly surprised.
