Rice Thepla is made from Leftover rice. Very soft, Delicious and Perfect for light dinner idea. Taste best with curd or a cup of Tea/ Coffee. Perfect for Paryushan/Tithi days.
Leftover rice is general and very common issue in every home. Other varieties of Leftover Rice i posted on blog : Rice Muthiya , Crispy Balls .
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cup cooked Rice
- 2 cup Wheat Flour
- 1.5 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp Curd
- Salt
- 2/3 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Hing
- 4 tsp Oil / 2 tsp Fresh Butter
METHOD:
Mix cooked rice and spices first. mix well. Now add Oil/ Butter and wheat Flour. Knead a semi soft dough.
Take a small portion of dough and roll a medium size roti. Cook on Tava on Medium flame by pouring oil on both the side.
Serve hot or at room temperature.

Those spices must make the thepla very tasty. I’m not sure I can get Hing but hope to use garlic or onion powder instead.
