An awesome combination of Milk, dry fruits, with flavours of Cardamom and saffron, will definitely a  tempting one . Serve either Hot or chilled, it taste great. Just add 1 or 2 tsp in a glass of milk, and a healthy , tasty milk drink is ready. Hope you love this pure taste. 20150301_221051

In summer days, we generally like light food but should be filling.  1 glass of Milk with Kesari Masala Powder is definitely very filling as well as healthy. Its not very high in calories too as we are adding just 1 r 2 tsp in a Glass. Add Sugar as per your taste at time of serving.. One can also use this masala in making ice cream or kulfi. The storage life of this Masala is 1 or 2 months if stored in freezer. Make sure use only clean and dry spoon at time of taking masala, it will surely give more life..


So lets make it..


  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1 cup Cashew Nuts
  • 1 cup Pistachio
  • few Saffron Strands
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 Medium Sized  Nutmeg
  • 2 tsp Milk Powder
  • Almonds and Pistachio Slivers for garnishing


In a heavy bottom Kadai, dry roast Almonds, Cashew nuts and Pistachio. Roast on slow flame for 3 to 4 minutes, Make sure dry fruit’s colour should not be changed. Keep stirring. Once done, take out in a bowl. DSCF4101 DSCF4103

In same kadai , take cardamom  and nutmeg which are half crushed in mortar pastel. Add some Saffron Strands also. Keep some aside for garnishing. Roast for few seconds.. This way the fragrance will be enhance.

In a mixer bowl, mix everything and crush in to a coarse powder. For grinding, dont grind at a stretch. Use pulse method to grind. Now add slivers and saffron strands. Thanks you darling sis for this useful and handy slicer. 🙂 🙂


Mix well . Store in a air tight container ..
