This Toor Dal Chutney is very popular in Tamilnadu. This chutney should be serve with hot Steamed Rice. Just mix it and enjoy.. Super delicious and tasty chutney can also be served with Hot Paratha or Roti, anyways it tastes awesome.
- 3/4 cup Toor Dal
- 8-9 Dry Red Chilli
- 1/2 cup Fresh Coconut
- 2 tsp Tamarind Pulp
- Pinch of Red chilli Powder
- Pinch of Turmeric Powder
Dry roast Toor Dal and Red chilli in kadai, one by one.
When cool Slightly, add all other ingredients and make a chutney with very little water. Dont add much water. Chutney should be smooth.
For Temper, take oil in kadai. When hot add mustard seeds, Urad Dal, curry leaves and hing. Add this temper on chutney.
Mix well and enjoy. One can store in refrigerator up to a week.
