Winter is a season of cold as well as to gain health. These cookies made from wheat flour and lots of Almonds . Wheat and Almond , both are nutritious , healthy and tasty also 🙂 🙂 This cookies are best for Kids also..
Traditionally people use to say whatever energy u gain in this season will support you through out the year.I usually Made for my little one with escaping the garnishing part as she is very fussy and choosy 🙂 🙂
- Whole wheat flour 1 cup + 2/3 cup
- Sugar 2/3 cup
- Almonds coarse powder 1/2 cup
- Butter 1/2 cup + 1 tsp ( I use Amul Butter)
- Cardamom Powder 2/3 tsp
- Milk 2 – 3 tbsp (to knead the dough)
- Almonds and Pistachios Slivers for garnishing
In a wide plate take whole wheat flour , almonds and cardamom powder .
Keep the butter in room temperature . First Mix Butter and sugar nicely. Beat with hands for 1-2 mins.
Now mix this butter and flour mixture.
Knead it into a smooth dough. the dough should be soft. Add 1-2 tblsp of milk for kneading the dough.
Make it into desired shapes of 1 inch thickness. Garnish with Almond Pistachio Slivers..
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.Bake it for 20-25 minutes in the same temperature. Keep an eye after 20 minutes.
When done cool it on the wire rack and once it is completely cool, transfer to a air tight container.
Though the cookies appear to be chewy when hot, once it becomes cool it will be crispy.
